FAQ
What's a volatility-normalized oscillator?
It measures how far price has moved from the MA, then divides that deviation by historical volatility. The result is a standardized score — the same overbought threshold works on ES, BTC, EUR/USD, or AAPL without re-tuning.
What are the four momentum states?
Above zero and rising = strong uptrend. Above zero and falling = weakening uptrend (potential exit). Below zero and rising = weakening downtrend (potential bottom). Below zero and falling = strong downtrend. The colors transition smoothly so you see momentum shifts in real time.
How do the mean reversion signals work?
Optional diamond markers fire when the oscillator crosses extreme thresholds. Buy signals appear when the oscillator crosses upward from a deep negative reading; sell signals when it crosses downward from a high positive reading.
Does it repaint?
No. All calculations are non-repainting and based on confirmed bars.
